I'm Addicted to Apples (VIDEO)

This was shot and edited by my friend, comedian Josh Filipowski and it also features comedian Eric Andre and Cerra Cardwell. It's a twist on the smoking situation in NYC.

Penn Station T.T.B. (Train Track Betting)

I directed and edited the following video - based on an idea by my comedian friend Eric Andre. Eric, Josh Filipowski and I star in this short viral video. We shot it on the run in Penn Station and it was a miracle we didn't get thrown out. During the shoot a security actually removed a drunk man that was harassing US, and security said NOTHING to us about the camera and our shenanigans.

Verizon Wireless DARE Commercial

Here's a seperate spot from my Man on The Streets campaign. Recorded last week, it's just a solo performance of myself trying to sling a new telecommunications product fpr the upcoming holidays.

Mac From DC #3

We used a green screen on this last Mac spot. Overall, this was a fun project to work on and writer/director Jason Kravits did a wonderfull job.

Verizon Wireless Commercial #3

Here is the third spot in my "Man on the Street" commercial campaign for Verizon Wireless. It is a funny example of how my interview improv skills helped elicit interesting customer interaction.

Mac From DC #1

In this political video, written and directed by my friend Jason kravits, I play the kid in a Mac Vs. PC commercial parody. I studied Justin Long's mannerisms by watching these commercials over and over again on Youtube. Just kidding. Anyways this is the first of three anti-McCain Mac/PC spots we shot. Check out Jason's site at www.randomactsltd.com

My latest on-air promo for MTVu

I did the voice over for this on camera promo for MTVu's Roadtrip. The producer wanted something that was deep and country, something I don't typically do. I like this spot though because it shows my range.

McDonald's "Bad Singing" Commercial

The best part about this one is not only do I do a terrible Journey impression, but I get to sing the "Ba da ba ba baaaa" at the end...always wanted to do that.

This is the third commercial in my Verizon Wireless campaign.

Jonesy on the Letterman Show

This past Tuesday I was featured on the Late Show With Dave Letterman in a skit where I played Dave's son Harry Letterman. It's the only time in my life where I have been paid to throw a beer bottle. Check out the video below and screenshot of the Letterman site where my in-action photo made the page!

EastVille Comedy Show featuring Jonesy, Jimmy Carr..etc.

Just Bring It! Standup Comedy Show at the new EastVille Comedy Club is a show that I have produced now for over one month. Since the show's inception I've had a plethora of star comics on the show. Last night featured the UK comic sensation, Jimmy Carr, fresh off his Conan Obrien taping earlier in the day, Jimmy worked on his 22 minute Comedy Central Presents Jimmy Carr set, which tapes this weekend here in New York City. (See pic BOTTOM of me with Jimmy (suit) and superstar comedian Todd Barry.)
Also on the show, ALSO fresh off a Comedy Central Presents taping, was the great and hilarious Brian Scolaro (TOP pic). He actually had me laughing at a fart joke. And I haven't laughed at a fart joke since I was twelve. THAT'S how good Scolaro is. Check out his myspace HERE.

Radio Shack Commercial

I just recorded a second Radio Shack commercial in their new campaign. This one is called "Train" and it, as my pervious spot, hi-lights my ability to swim through copy quicker than Michael Phelps.

Listen by going to this LINK HERE and clicking on "Play" in the mediaplayer.

My other Radio Shack is HERE.

NEW Crapper Episode is live!

The 6th episode features comedian/actor Baron Vaughn as a music producer with a strange idea of where the hip hop industry is headed. By the end, discouraged Tumbleweed considers going home.

Verizon Wireless Commercial #2

This is the second spot in the campaign I did for Verizon Wireless called "Man on the Street". I went up to college kids all across the country and, with my extended experience with a microphone, I got them to confess how they REALLY feel about their wirless network. This spot highlights my ability to make a new telecommunications device actually sound kinda cool.

Verizon Wireless Commerical "Man on the Street"

This is the first of what will be a series of spots I recorded for Verizon Wireless. It's the "Youth Man on the Street" campaign and all the commercials are intended to be high energy, humorous, and targeted at the 18-24 year old market. This first spot was recorded at the University of Colorado campus - I went to three different colleges over a span of three weeks and interviewed countless students on camera about their wireless service. In my attempt to make the interviews as funny as possible I used my improv skills AND my beatbox skills. :) Check it out.

White Guys Like Big Butts Too! (the SONG)

My original song/video recently passed 10,000 views on YouTube. If you haven't seen it yet, it is a very "artsy" piece (and when I say "piece" you know what I'm talkin' bout!!!! Ohhhhh!)

Frontlines: Fuel of War

I'm the voice of a character in the new videogame, Frontlines: Fuel of War. My character is a guy named Joe Mikowski, a 24 year old Private, 1st class on the Stray Dogs unit. He is from Boston and has a thick accent (that's how I got the job).

Listen to how tough my character is in the description: "Private Mikowski is a consumate professional; only he doesn't speak like one. Never afraid to give his opinion, and tell the rest of the world 'how it is', Mikowski sees things as black and white. Every cause has an effect, and Mikowski is all about causing his OWN effects."

For more character description and even a PICTURE of my character go to the site FRONTLINES. I also, surprisingly, found a fan site with even more game info,HERE.

Acting Coach Anthony Abeson

Last month I enrolled in an acting class that is taught by Mr. Anthony Abeson. Anthony is a brilliant, one-of-a-kind induvidual. Check out his site HERE.

Below is a quote from his BLOG:

You don’t start talking for no reason. First you create the situation, the reaction the interaction, the partner and then, maybe out of the life comes the lines. Stanislavsky once said, “Even a dog doesn’t just come right in and start barking at his master.” A dog goes in, it sniffs around and then it sees it’s master and “Arf, arf.” Look at cats. Have you ever let a cat out of the house? I used to and then we learned the hard way: Don’t do that.

But a cat, the first thing a cat does when it goes outside is it sits up and it looks at the sky. Oh God, why don’t we do that more often? It looks up at the sky, taking in the big picture and then it starts to meow, because it sees a mouse, or because it’s in heat, or because it wants to get back in, or, or, or, or, or. But first the life, then the lines.

Do you realize that what we are trying to infect you with is the tendency to create the very life that I’m very pleased Sam was able to create first? And we’re also trying to prove to you with stories like this that it really does result if not in employment then at least in feedback because the difference is so incredibly obvious. Talk is cheap. Actions - life - speak louder than words.

Arby's commercials

I recently recorded 6 television voice overs for Arby's that are going to be running cable and some network spotted regions. Let's hope that I keep this account longer than the Macy's job that lasted only 3 weeks :) "I'm thinking Arby's."

Crapper - episode 5

The latest installment in our "Crapper" web series is now available for viewing. The title of this piece is "Rythm and Phat Beats" In this episode, my character Tumbleweed (country rapper) meets up with a producer off Craigslist in the hopes of getting someone to make beats for his craps. Beats plus craps equals success!

This episode features my friend, actor/artist and all-around funnyman, Greg Siff (his site is linked).

I hope you enjoy another chapter directed and edited -once again- perfectly by Jeremy Redleaf.

Songs in the Key of CHEESE!

So I used to be in this musical comedy duo with writer/comedian Brett Anderson called Songs in the Key of Cheese. We played CHEESEY love song covers from the 80's such as Air Supply, Peter Cetera, the Bee Gees, Foreigner, Patrick Swayze, even New Kids on the Block if you can believe that. We played all over New York City and were a real hit with women in their early 30's and gay men. I put together a very funny video montage from some of the footage I have of us playing live.

annoying HOT GIRL sequel

Following the mild web success of my viral video, Annoying Hot Girl at the Party, I got some requests for a sequel. Well, allow me to introduce part two in the "Annoying Girl" series. This video is called Annoying Hot Girl in the Bathroom. It features my talented actor friends Jessica Jade Andres and Dan Hall.

Write-up in Webvideoreport.com

There's a writeup about me and my video, The Health Insurance Song" on the frontgage of Webvideoreport.com, a very comprehensive internet video news website. The full article with video is HERE. The text ONLY is below:

Featured Video: Health Insurance Song

Production: “The Health Insurance Song,” a comedic photo montage set to a song parody, came about after songwriter-comedian Chris Jones (who performs under the name “Jonesy”) was hospitalized with a head injury in 2005. Faced with massive medical bills, Jonesy attempted to save money by removing his own stitches at home. The results were disastrous enough to inspire him to write “The Health Insurance Song,” a musical parody highlighting the plight of Americans without healthcare. Jonesy often incorporates music into his standup act, and he decided to create a video montage set to “The Health Insurance Song” to draw attention to his pet cause and his abilities as an entertainer. The video, which he edited himself, intersperses pictures of protesters, stock medical photos and illustrations of dangerous activities he’d attempt if he had coverage. In addition to the usual video-sharing sites, he attempted to capitalize on this election year’s crop of young voters hitting news sites such as Reddit and Digg, cause blogs like Barely Political and social-networking groups. “The Health Insurance Song” and other Jonesy videos can be found at his home site, http://www.funnyjones.com.

Result: The video was picked up by DailyMotion.com, which featured it in its “news” section. Jonesy estimates the video has garnered around 25,000 hits on the top five sharing sites, but laments that his "Annoying Hot Girl at the Party" video, which lacks a message but has a cute girl as its thumbnail, is still more popular by several thousand views.

Hippie Busters! - episode 1

Back in Boston my good friend and comedian Erik Tynan and I came up with two characters that would become the basis for my new comedy web series, The Hippie Busters. This series is a parody of the CSI's and Law and Order's of the television world. It follows the antics of detectives Milt McCray and Skip Skipson as they track down, arrest, and oftentimes beat those smelly, tree-huggin, no showering, pot-smoking HIPPIES! I hope you enjoy episode 1, "The Case".
