This Is Why I'm Single - web site
I recently purchased the domain www.thisiswhyimsingle.com for the purposes of promoting the live performance piece I wrote and directed over the summer and which will be staged again on Valentine's Day weekend, 2010. In addition to information pertaining to the live performance piece, This Is Why I'm Single, the site has become a platform for comedic single lifestyle content. You will find hilarious articles on the single life by myself and other comedian contributors, funny videos, awful personal ad pics, and even dating advice. The site's most original contribution to the world of funny is most probably the "Single People" videos. I have included one below for your viewing.

Sundays Of Our Lives - my new web series
I am currently producing, writing, directing, editing and starring in a new web series about a subject I am pretty passionate about: Fantasy Football. The series is called Sundays Of Our Lives and it centers around people that, as I do, take fantasy football way too seriously. Lying, cheating, and kidnapping are all par for the course in this soap opera about America's most popular sports hobby. Check out the trailer below and the official web site link here: Fantasy Football Web Series.

My band's recent performance
My band Pepperspray recently played at the Port Jazz in Port Jefferson New York. Port Jeff is a wonderful bayside community with incredible lobster rolls and a love of Red Hot Chili Pepper tribute bands.
My Interview For Comedy Site
I was recently interviewed for a standup comedy site called Bigbencomedy. The crux of the interview was my personal take on technology and standup comedy and in what ways I use social media to promote my own comedy career.
Here is an excerpt from the inteview:
Ben, you and I have talked about this issue in the past and I’ve expressed that I believe that it isn’t that smart to post videos of your standup if you aren’t a somewhat polished comic. I’ve booked some first timers on my show and I’ve seen them immediately put up an entire 8 minute video of themselves performing an under-developed act. I mean this is fine if it’s not going to be a CAREER for you, some guys just do it for fun only and post a video of it in an un-serious way so Mom can watch it. But if this is a career choice then I think you need to think about not releasing the product until it’s in some sort of professionally acceptable shape, and even then I recommend small chunks of no more than two minutes. If it’s a Live at Gotham or a Conan set then obviously put the whole thing up.

This is Why I'm Single - The Play- by Jonesy
I wrote, directed, and produced a comedic play earlier this month. This is Why I'm Single was an ensemble performance consisting of nine scenes of love going hilariously wrong. It was written for and performed by my acting class (Anthony Abeson - teacher - who assisted me in directing).
The scenes ranged from an interview for a wingman, a man cockblocked on a date by his nut allergy, and bachelor party for a dead bachelor. All are very weird, funny, and completely original concepts.
The showdates were July 22nd and 23rd - two shows each night at the Royal Theatre (The Producer's Club). I am thrilled to report that all four shows sold out and we had to turn away many others that showed up to buy tickets at the door.
Because of this my production team and I are making preparations to bring additional performance dates this Fall. Please refer to our sites: OFFICIAL SITE, FACEBOOK, MYSPACE, BLOG. (click on links).

The Thing About Larry - (Short FIlm)
I played a lead in a short film called The Thing About Larry. My character Jason is the son of the recently deceased Larry, who, in the form of a last will requests he be buried in women's underwear. It's a quirky cute little comedy written and directed by Clara Deake (Brazil) See pic left of myself and the director.

My latest video: FEMALE CONDOM
Somehow I got my hands on a female condom. I had never seen one before and I thought it was a funny prop with which I could write a skit for. Here it is. Featured in this video are the very talented David Carl and Candice Cooper. David recently won the Comedy Song contest at Standup NY comedy club and Candice was in another of my videos called Annoying Girl at the Party. Check out more of my videos at Jonesy.

Celebrity Ghost Hunters - Biggie Smalls episode
This is a two part webisode that I directed and edited. The videos star myself - Jonesy and Josh Filipowski, who also wrote the webisodes with me. We play two very different ghost hunters on a new assignment in New York City, where we are hired to investigate a haunted recording studio. The ghost in this episode is none other than the late rapper Biggie Smalls aka Notorious B.I.G.
